Documentation:

You may edit these settings carefully:

1. don't change the left side of the = signs (these are parameter names
the program needs to see, e.g. 'UserNote')
2. don't eliminate any lines
3. don't do silly things like set COMQ - the settings need to be sensible,
so you can do, e.g., COM3 or COM5 and for some items, you can set either NO
or YES (no other spellings or lowercase will be recognized).

4. the UserNote will appear on the XDVD GUI display near the top - you
can use this to identify the device by name or COM port or other helpful
hint. it's just a convenience. if you don't like it, just reduce it
to nothing but don't remove that line (UserNote=)

5. StartTitle= can be used to let XDVD start from any particular title
on the DVD. Each Title on a DVD has a continuous time code (chapters
are locations within a Title. We may add controls to select Title and
Chapter in XDVD in the future.

6. NetSocket and AutoEnable only pertain to the PDVD (networking) version,
but don't remove them in any case. NetSocket is the network TCP/IP socket
you wish to use to remotely control the XDVD program over your network.
AutoEnable lets you choose whether remote users can connect immediately
after the PDVD program starts or whether you wish to enable them manually
from the 'Enable Connection' button on the PDVD GUI.

7. StopOnExit=YES tells the program to stop the DVD play when you quit.
If you set it to 'No' then the DVD program will continue to play if that's
what you were doing, etc.

8. TCOffset=00:00:00:00 can be edited so you can have a 'starting' time code
match, perhaps, a window-burn time code you may have recorded along with the
video on your DVD. This greatly aids in editing and logging. The time code
you use here will be *added* to the 'zero' time code of the DVD Title.

When you use, say, TCOffset=00:01:00:00 then XDVD/PDVD will start with a one-
minute value in its timecode display. Searches on the DVD will also reflect
this added value (if you search for 00:00:00:00, you won't find it :)

9. MCS=No means you are not using the JLCooper MCS-enabled version of XDVD
or PDVD. You need to purchase that version if you intend to use the JL Cooper
MCS2 to control the DVD and it will need its own COM port connection to the
PC for XDVD/PDVD to work. Don't change this.

10. MCSCOMPort=COM2 is there as a placeholder for those who are using the
MCS-enabled version of XDVD/PDVD, but it only has meaning for them. It is
the setting to tell XDVD/PDVD which COM port you're using for the JLCooper
MCS2.

DON'T REMOVE ANY OF THESE SETTINGS LINES EVEN IF YOU THINK THEY DON'T PERTAIN
TO YOU.

EDIT CAREFULLY - DON'T ADD INADVERTENT SPACES, PUNCTUATION MARKS, ETC.

BE SURE YOU 'SAVE' THE SETTINGS.TXT FILE AFTER EDITING.

YOU MUST CLOSE AND RE-START THE XDVD/PDVD PROGRAM TO LET IT SEE ANY NEW
SETTINGS. THE Settings.txt FILE IS READ ONLY ONCE AT THE TIME THE PROGRAM
STARTS.
