XVCR VCR Control and Tape Logging Full-Function Demo for PC WINxx
The XVCR Demo is a fully operational time-limited demo version of XVCR. XVCR performs VCR control (play, pause, stop, ff/rew, slow play, etc.) and has a tape logging window where you can mark in/out points to save as an EDL. XVCR uses the world-standard control technology for professional VCRs ('Sony RS422 9-pin'). For more information on decks and hookups, see the .doc file you may download and also some additional comments below.
NEW! FASTER TIME CODES AND TIMECODES MAGICALLY GO INTO YOUR CLIPBOARD
A new, updated, and improved version is now here, so if you downloaded XVCRDEMO.ZIP prior to 1/17/2000, download the new XVCRDEMO.ZIP and replace your XVCR.exe file. The new, improved version has much faster timecode updating and also continuously puts the most recent timecode into the system clipboard so you can paste them into your favorite text-compatible applications (wordprocessing, notepad, etc.) on the fly with the usual 'CTRL-V' keyboard combination that most text-compatible applications support. Thanks to Eli Shmotkin for the clipboard suggestion. Note that because XVCR is grabbing time codes quickly and stuffing them into the clipboard one after another as fast as it can, you may wish to shut off XVCR to use your clipboard for other needs.
