PolyDVD is an intelligent combination of independent and simultaneous control for Pioneer's DVD-V7400 and DVD-V7200, DVD-V5000, and new DVD-V8000 DVD players. See the screenshot (of 4-unit version, PolyDVD4), below. XDVD single-player control with logging now comes *free* with PolyDVD.

Videobotics PolyDVD software for Windows gives you up to 4, 8, or more VCR-like DVD control panels for your Pioneer industrial DVD players and a Master control panel that lets you simultaneously control DVD playback with all the DVD players at once. Each PolyDVD control panel gives you advanced VCR-like DVD control of a single player, and the Master panel ties it all together with many advanced features for multiple unit control. PolyDVD lets your Pioneer DVD players act like real VCRs, with real SMPTE time code features. PolyDVD works with any mix of Pioneer DVD-V7200, V7400, V5000 and V8000 players. When you want to control multiple DVD players, you use the Master control panel (bottom of the screen shot) to control them all at once.
PolyDVD combines all these controls in a single package that provides the ultimate in flexible individual and/or simultaneous multiple control of your DVD players.PolyDVD controls one or more Pioneer DVD players with professional VCR-like DVD controls and provides a number of powerful capabilities not ordinarily found in the V7400/7200/5000/8000 DVD players:
- real SMPTE timecode readout - updated up to 30 times per second (red numerals on screenshot below). Timecode can be read out, viewed, and cued on DVD Titles that have time code that is accessible to the DVD-V7400/7200/5000/8000.
- cue-inpoint and cue-outpoint timecode fields to set start and stop times of a clip you can isolate for review or cue-inpoint/play.
- slow play (1/2 and 1/4 speed) and jog buttons to manipulate the DVD playback speed and isolate small movements of the DVD time
- title time-remaining countdown (yellow numerals in the screenshot)
- use any mix of DVD-V7400 and/or DVD-V7200 and/or DVD-V5000 and/or DVD-V8000units
- a Settings text file you can edit to set up:
- the COM port you wish to use to connect to the DVD player control port
- an optional 'timecode offset' to let you match the timecode readout to a 'window-burned' timecode on the DVD
- optional DVD Title # from which to start playing (for DVDs with multiple titles) when the program starts
- and more.
- Script text file for scripted sequences of operations, using a very simple text command set including marking cue-in and cue-out time codes, play, pause, slow-mo, cue, clip review, clip repeat, and more.
- DVD Title and Chapter direct numerical entry and 'next/previous' controls
- Indicator for DVD Title tracks which do not have time-code
PolyDVD's Master Control Panel
The PolyDVD-Master control panel ties together your control capability for multiple players simultaneously.PolyDVD is the ultimate in flexibility - you can control each DVD individually and independently of the others (with its own PolyDVD single-player control panel) or all simultaneously with the PolyDVD-Master pulling the strings on all the individual PolyDVD control panels at once. PolyDVD intelligently senses how many DVD players are running and controls them all individually or all-at-once with the PolyDVD-Master control panel.
If you want to run 1 or 2 DVD players sometimes, and 3 or 4 units other times, no problem - PolyDVD handles it with ease. And you can mix and match any of the Pioneer 7200, 7400, 5000, and 8000 models in any combination you wish.
