What is CosmosHD7?
CosmosHD7 a complete package of HD-SDI cameras and HD-SDI pro video-switching equipment to outfit any church, conference room, club, or audio-video staging setup. CosmosHD7 consists of three main components:
1. HD-SDI 3-chip Robotic Computer-Controlled Pan/Tilt/Zoom Cams - Sony BRC-H700 or BRC-Z700
  CosmosHD7 includes 2-4 robotic (computer-controllable pan/tilt/zoom) cameras and full hi-definition Datavideo SE-1000 HD-SDI video switcher/mixer. 2. FULL HD-SDI Video Processing
  - The DataVideo SE-1000 Switcher
    DataVideo's fully HD SE-1000 switcher has inputs for up to 5 cameras with HD-SDI inputs as well as audio for each channel. You have a complete HD-SDI system. The SE-1000 switcher is a proven winner that handles all the inputs and lets you switch smoothly from one video source to another using wipes, fades, and other effects. Datavideo's SE-1000 switcher also offers a DVI input for a sixth source coming from a computer graphics card DVI ouput.     Accompanying the SE-1000 switcher is DataVideo's six-way 5" LCD monitor kit designed onto a purpose-built bracket which fits around the SE-1000 switcher itself. The CosmosHD Software

Tying together the whole package is the software heart of the CosmosHD system: the Cosmos software package (for Windows PCs). Cosmos software gives you detailed direct camera positioning (pan, tilt, zoom, focus, and more), preset-positions, and video settings (white balance, backlight, brightness) for the robotic cameras. And the Cosmos software also communicates with the SE-500 or SE-1000 switcher to allow direct operation of the 'wipe' function from the camera control GUI. With this powerful package of software you can control all your cameras individually and switch video sources on the SE-500 or SE-1000. Cosmos is an invaluable integration of camera-control with switcher operations for use with live production setups like small studios, churches, meeting rooms, and more. Now Cosmos robotic cameras can become integrated with the SE-800AV into a studio-like operating environment in a single package that can be run by one operator at a single PC console.

Cosmos Software Details:

Control up to 4 robotic cameras (for all the video inputs to either switcher)
Cosmos communicates and interacts with your robotic cameras *and* with the Datavideo Switcher:
- When you select a camera on CosmosHD, that cam is selected on the Preview (SUB) row of your Datavideo Switcher
- Cosmos also has controls to activate the 'TAKE' function of your Switcher so you can position a cam and then switch it to main output directly from the Cosmos software
- When using the SE-1000 switcher there are additional software controls for many other features of the SE-1000 switcher (wipe speed and pattern selection, key source, and more). All camera and switcher controls are available through the Cosmos software's nine user-definable (Macro) scripted buttons via simple text-editing with sensible English-like commands.
Control positioning of your cameras 4 ways:
- mouse click/drag to position camera interactively
- buttons for small-increment up/down/left/right motions
- click-and-hold buttons for slow smooth continuous pan/tilt motions
- 6 presets of pan/tilt/zoom and all video settings, 4 additional presets of pan/tilt/focus/zoom
Additional controls are provided for:
- White Balance, Backlight, and Brightness, Iris, Gain, and many more 'optical' adjustments
- Focus - in/out/auto/manual : Zoom - in/out/maximum/minimum
- On-screen data display (available on some camera models) and video on/off
- 9 user-configurable buttons for scripted sequences of camera motions and operations

CosmosHD7 systems require 2 available COM ports (one for camera control, one for Switcher control) on a Windows PC (PC not included) for simultaneous control of both the cameras and the switcher. If you elect to control the switcher manually, the CosmosHD7 software will work with only one COM port.
