Here's the GUI of the host ASELNet program that runs
on the computer that has the ASEL16 switcher connected on a COM port.
This program lets you directly control the ASEL16 switcher's routing of
video inputs to outputs, including all three output modes: input routing
to Output #1 only, to Output #2 only, or to both outputs. Video switching
is as easy as clicking your mouse. For PC Win95/98/NT/2K/XP.
In addition the host program functions as a network 'server' that can operate the ASEL16 board via commands that come in over a TCP/IP network socket connection from a remote 'client' program (included) or even from a web-page Java applet (also included). Network and web-enabling of your ASEL16 board is now a reality with easy-to-use software that is all included with the ASELNet package. This host (server) program can be configured for your choice of COM ports (1-8), with a changeable password, and time limits for how long remote (client) users get to interact with the ASEL16 board over the network or web. ASELNet works over private TCP/IP networks or the internet. And ASELNet comes with documentation on its simple ASCII command set so you can write Rebol scripts to perform sequences of switching operations, too! An enhanced version of this program provides for operation of systems with multiple NCD ASEL16 boards. A full-function time-limited downloadable demo version is also available. DOWNLOAD DEMO. |

Here's the configuration tool you use to pre-set the parameters for the ASELNet host program. You can pre-set: 1. the COM port for the ASEL16 board (COM1-COM8)
Once these parameters are selected and saved (the configuration
tool saves a small file on your hard drive), when you later run ASELNet
it will configure itself accordingly (using these settings as its 'defaults')
so you needn't manually adjust it (e.g. set the ASEL COM port) every time
you run it.

Here is the ASELNet remote TCP/IP
control program you can use over your network or the internet to directly
control the ASEL16 board from a network-linked remote computer. This
program permits stand-alone operation of the ASEL16 board over any TCP/IP
network and does not need to be operated from within a web page.
It is a simple '.exe' file (like the host program) and opens its own window
in your Windows 95/98/NT/2K/XP system. You connect to the 'host' program
(the one running on the computer that has the ASEL16 board) by entering
the host computer's IP number. The rest is automatic. You're
then in control of the ASEL16 board. By having this stand-alone network
control panel for your ASEL16 board, you are assured that you can control
the ASEL16 board with or without video going through the same network -
it lets you work with Microsoft NetMeeting and proprietary net-video programs
that don't put video into a web page. For example, you may have video going
out over ordinary video cables to your viewing area within your building
- and this program lets you connect over your network to operate the ASEL16
switcher even if you're viewing the video on an ordinary video monitor.
Our JAVA Applet (below) lets you work with web-video within web pages.

Here is the ASELWeb JAVA Applet you can use within a web page to provide ASEL16 control to web page viewers. This applet automatically detects the host computer and logs in with a default password. You can embed this applet within your web page that is showing your webcam video display using any of the popular webcam programs like Personal Webmedia, WebCam32, and InetCAM. Our ASELNet package includes sample web pages you can use with the (free/shareware) Personal Webmedia video streaming program that also can serve up this JAVA Applet. We also give you examples on how to set up a web page to incorporate this applet.
